Principally used in diffraction experiments, this system is able to heat the sample with hot gas up to 1,000 °C with a precision of ±1°C. Two models are available, the 5mmØ diameter for single crystal diffractometer experiments and the 8mmØ enhanced for powder diffraction.
These systems consist of a Gas Blower Head and a Control Unit with an integrated Eurotherm 3508 Temperature Controller. Ethernet connectivity is provided.
Large Hot Air Gas Blower
The XDS Oxford Large Hot Air Gas Blower can be used in general diffraction experiments.
This system is controlled and programmed through a Eurotherm 3508 Temperature Controller. This controller has two independent PID loops, making it ideal for products requiring interactive processes.
Gas flow rate is monitored using a float type flow meter controlled from the front of the Control Unit whilst temperature measurement and control is enabled by a thermocouple built into the Gas Blower Head.
All cabling and pipework for interconnection between the Control Unit and Gas Blower Head is supplied. The Gas Blower stand is supplied separately.
