Happy International Day of Light!

Synchrotron and Free Electron Laser facilities generate high brilliance X-ray Light which is used with research purposes on innovative experiments. As it is generated in many “sizes and shapes” every piece of equipment XDS Oxford produce needs to be custom-built to suit the unique characteristics of both the Light Source and the Experimental environment.

Light place a crucial role in the designed characteristics of XDS Oxford instruments. Each beamline we build is unique and it is intended to filter, shape, and deliver high quality x-ray light beam, ensuring scientists can get the best possible experimental tool for cutting-edge research.

To find out more about our capabilities, please visit our website at: xds-oxford.com/

XDS Oxford is pleased to be attending the APS/CNM User Meeting this year.

As providers of high-precision X-ray delivery systems, we’re looking forward to engaging with the scientific community at the Argonne National Laboratory and discussing the opportunities that the recent facility upgrade will bring to shape the future of scientific discovery at the Advanced Photon Source.

If you're attending, please come say hello to Andrew Rimmer and Jon Randall who can be found at Table 46 in the Atrium. We’d love to hear about your work and explore ways we can collaborate or support your research.

The XDS Oxford UHV QBPM is ideally suited for providing feedback position into a mirror or a monochromator system for improved beam stability. It can be paired with the I404 Four-Channel Current Amplifier, (for which EPICS drivers are available). A selection of foils allow performance over wide energy ranges.
